refund policy
Last updated: June 19, 2026
Kickback handles ticket funds via secure escrow. Our refund policy ensures buyers are protected from fake/cancelled events while protecting hosts from last-minute flaking.
1. All Sales Are Final
Once you are approved for an event and your payment is captured, all sales are final. Not attending the event, showing up late, or being denied at the door for violating the host's rules (e.g., age, dress code) are not grounds for a refund.
2. Automatic Refunds
You will be refunded automatically to your original payment method if:
- The host cancels the event before the scheduled start time.
- The event is suspended, frozen, or removed by Kickback safety admins.
- The host denies your ticket request or revokes your ticket before the event starts.
3. Platform Fees
Platform service fees (the amount paid on top of the host's cover price to keep Kickback running) are non-refundable unless the event is cancelled or deemed fraudulent.
4. Disputes & Chargebacks
If you believe you were charged in error or an event was completely misrepresented, do not file a chargeback with your bank immediately. Contact us at kickbackapp@proton.me first. Fraudulent or bad-faith chargebacks will result in a permanent ban from Kickback. We will investigate disputes manually and refund accordingly.
5. Platform Discretion
Because we hold funds in escrow until after the event concludes, we reserve the right to unilaterally intercept and reverse payouts to a host, returning funds to buyers, if we determine the event violated our Terms of Service or Safety guidelines.
