safety guidelines
Last updated: June 19, 2026
Kickback is a pure software platform for event discovery. While we do not manage, oversee, or protect the physical events, we enforce strict rules to protect the platform's integrity.
Address Security
Kickback obscures the true address until the drop time to prevent unwanted guests. Do not share the exact address or screenshot it once it unlocks. If a host reports you for leaking the address, your account will be permanently banned.
The Defense Protocol (Freezing)
If multiple verified ticketholders report an event for being fake, unsafe, or non-existent, the event is automatically frozen by the Kickback servers. When frozen, the address is completely locked, the event is hidden from the map, and the host's payouts are seized pending admin review.
For Guests
Attend at your own risk. Kickback does not verify backgrounds or inspect venues. We simply sell digital tickets. By attending an off-platform event, you assume all liability for your personal property, safety, and actions. Follow the host's house rules, laws, and be respectful.
For Hosts
You are exclusively responsible for your guests and your venue. Kickback takes absolutely zero responsibility for noise complaints, damages, physical altercations, code violations, or unlawful acts on your premises. You must abide by local laws regarding occupancy, noise, and alcohol.
Zero Tolerance
We ban users permanently for the following:
- Posting fake ("phantom") events to steal ticket money.
- Leaking private addresses to non-ticketed individuals.
- Promoting overtly illegal activities or dangerous situations.
- Filing fraudulent credit card chargebacks.
